Database organising

Emapa offers a one-time or cyclical database organising service. The service may include, for example:

• removing erroneously entered addresses, correcting typos in names, removing forbidden characters, separating joined names,
• data normalisation, i.e. ordering of data by category/column, e.g. division of an address written in the form of street name + number into 2 separate columns: street name and number; separation of city name from postal code or flat number from house number,
• data unification, i.e. ordering of databases according to the Polish language dictionary, e.g. unification of first names of natural persons Joanna and Asia; unification of postal code notation, e.g. 90-145 and 90145; unification of street names based on the dictionary of streets for a given city
• removal of duplicates,
• complementing databases with particular information, e.g. TERYT (National Official Registry of Territorial Division of the Country),
• data aggregation, i.e. merging data of greater detail into a more general form (merging a group of selected spatial units into a larger, more generalised one,
• presenting the merged data for the total area, e.g. counting the number of agreements concluded in a given voivodeship or creating sales areas based on the Polish Post code regions.
