Geocoding is a service consisting in the conversion of addresses into geographical coordinates (X,Y) and vice versa, i.e. - de-geocoding - conversion of geographical coordinates into address data.

There is a possibility of geocoding and de-geocoding of the ‘bulk’ type - that is, sending requests for multiple addresses or coordinates at once, resulting in increased efficiency of the technology.
